Unlearning AI presents an analogue approach to Artificial Intelligence that distorts the image and highlights manipulation rather than masking these ‘imperfections’. AI is learning rapidly and becoming smarter, creating cleaner, smoother, and more perfect images, corrupting our perceptions of what is real.

This series exposes the flaws and construction of the digital image, to reveal an imposter. Created from two 2000 piece puzzles that are reconstructed, the final 500 piece puzzle is a close examination of this restitched portrait. The seams of the image are visible, presenting the identities as distorted beings.
